Invisalign®

Invisalign® is the proven contemporary solution for correcting crooked and misaligned teeth without the irritation or metallic appearance of old-fashioned braces.  Using a series of custom-crafted transparent aligners designed specifically for your mouth by means of a 3-D computer imaging system, the Invisalign® system gradually shifts your teeth into their proper positions until the desired results are achieved.  Each removable aligner is virtually invisible, so no one will know that you're wearing the aligners unless you choose to tell them, and because there are no brackets or wires, Invisalign® aligners are far more comfortable than traditional orthodontic devices.

The instructions for Invisalign® treatment are easy to follow: simply wear the aligners as you go about your daily actions and while you sleep; remove the aligners to brush, floss, and eat; and switch to a new set of aligners about every two weeks.  During the course of your Invisalign® treatment, you will visit our Beverly Hills and Santa Monica area office about once every six weeks so that Dr. Rudner can monitor your development and ensure that your treatment is progressing properly.  Total treatment time will vary depending on the severity of your misalignment, but usually within 12 to 18 months your teeth will move into their desired positions, giving you a straight, gap-free smile.  Minor tooth alignment issues can often be corrected in as few as six months, and Invisalign® treatment can be combined with teeth whitening for a complete smile makeover with highly aesthetic results.

Tooth-colored Fillings

If you have old-fashioned metallic fillings, we can replace the glints of silver in your smile using tooth-colored materials that will be indistinguishable from your natural tooth structure.  The composite material used in tooth-colored fillings offers several advantages over traditional silver amalgam fillings; besides the more attractive, natural appearance they create, tooth-colored fillings will also expand and contract with temperature at a rate similar to that of natural tooth material, helping to prevent cracks in the future.  Also, because metal fillings do not naturally adhere to teeth, healthy tooth structure must often be removed during placement; the use of tooth-colored fillings therefore helps conserve more of the tooth's natural mass.  Some patients also desire for their metal amalgam fillings to be replaced due to possible health concerns over mercury, which has in the past been used in the creation of amalgam fillings.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is one of the fastest and most pain-free methods for correcting minor dental issues such as chips, cracks, and stains, strengthening teeth while creating beautiful aesthetic results and a brilliant smile. The treatment is extremely conservative of natural tooth structure, and it can even be used to reshape teeth that are misaligned or overly small.

In the dental bonding procedure, a preparatory solution is first applied to the teeth in order to allow the bonding to adhere firmly. Dr. Rudner then carefully applies and shapes the bonding material to create the desired effect.  Once the bonding material has been sculpted into its final shape, a high-intensity light is used to quickly harden the bonding material, which is then buffed and polished to create a lustrous, attractive finish.  The composite bonding material is color-matched to the shade of each patient's natural teeth, so repairs blend indistinguishably into the patient's smile while concealing imperfections and restoring discolored teeth to a healthy, white appearance.

Each dental bonding treatment performed at our Beverly Hills office is usually finished in less than an hour with immediately visible results, although depending on the extent and severity of your dental issues more than one treatment may be required to restore your smile.  Dental bonding treatment is a splendid alternative to more extensive cosmetic dentistry procedures such as those required for the installation of porcelain veneers or dental crowns and bridges, allowing us to create striking results more affordably.  Furthermore, many insurance carriers cover dental bonding, especially when a tooth requires structural repair.
